In an effort to recruit professionals for several of its key positions, the Agency for Community Transit (ACT) in Madison County, Illinois has increased its sign-on bonus to $3,500 for drivers, fuelers, cleaners, and fleet technicians (mechanics). ACT has also raised its starting pay for drivers to $24.00 per hour, with an additional increase after 650 hours of employment.
