The Routt boys' basketball team defeated Brown County 59-43 on Senior Night, led by a 26-point performance from senior Adam Abell. The win improved Routt's record to 23-4 overall and 7-0 in the Western Illinois Valley Conference, setting up a showdown with Calhoun for the conference title on Monday.
Why it matters
This was an important win for Routt, as they were looking to avenge a two-point loss to Brown County in last year's regional championship game. The Rockets were able to pull away in the second quarter with a scoring spurt and held off Brown County's attempts to rally in the second half.
The details

Abell scored 26 points, including two slam dunks in the fourth quarter, while Bryson Mossman and Brady Turner were held to 6 and 14 points respectively. Nolan Mossman added 10 points for Routt.
