According to police, the 54-year-old pedestrian was crossing Grand Avenue around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday when he was first struck by a Honda CR-V driven by an 81-year-old Beach Park woman. The Honda driver then left the scene but was later located at her residence. After the initial impact, the pedestrian remained in the roadway and was then hit by a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck driven by a 26-year-old Gages Lake woman. The pickup was then involved in a secondary crash when it was struck by a Kia driven by a 35-year-old North Chicago woman. The drivers of the Chevrolet and Kia remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation.
