Salpointe Alum Breaks Knox College Scoring Record

Bria Medina becomes the school's all-time leading scorer as a junior.

Bria Medina, a Salpointe Catholic graduate, has broken the career scoring record at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. The junior set the new mark of 1,389 points in a recent game, and also scored a career-high 40 points in another contest this season. Medina's former Salpointe teammate, Kylee Callahan, is also a senior on the Knox women's basketball team.

In Saturday's win over Webster, Medina broke Knox's career scoring record, tallying 27 points to reach 1,389 career points. She also finished with eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals. Earlier in the week, Medina scored a career-best 40 points in Knox's win over Illinois College, the second-highest single-game total in program history. She made 12 field goals, including five 3-pointers, and added five rebounds and five steals.
