Rick Armstrong's latest high school softball rankings for the Aurora-Elgin area feature some shakeups, with St. Charles East taking over the top spot and Jacobs and Newark joining the rankings. South Elgin's Charlotte Rzenno also makes an impressive varsity debut, going 4-for-7 with two homers, a double, five walks and six RBIs in her first four games.

St. Charles East moved up to the top spot after Brynn Maple and Hayden Sujack each hit home runs to back Hannah Wulf's five-hit, 11-strikeout performance in a 4-0 win over Downers Grove North. St. Charles North's Abby Zawadzki tallied three hits with a homer, double and five RBIs to go with a one-hit shutout in an 8-0 win over Burlington Central. Oswego East's Danielle Stone had three hits, including a double and triple, to lead the Wolves past Ottawa 7-4. South Elgin freshmen Charlotte Rzenno and Ava Lazare drove in six runs apiece as the Storm went 3-3 on a Tennessee trip. Jacobs' Avery St. Leger recorded four hits and Kate Takasaki hit a homer in a 12-2 rout of Guilford, while Yorkville's Austyn Strike, another freshman, had a home run, double and four RBIs in a 14-1 win over Geneva.
