Missouri softball's season of narrow defeats continued on Sunday as the Tigers fell 4-3 to No. 4/6 Alabama in the series finale. After taking an early 2-0 lead, Missouri was unable to hold off a late Crimson Tide comeback, with Alabama scoring three runs in the fourth inning and one more in the fifth to secure the victory.
Why it matters

Carr hit her second home run of the game in the sixth to bring Missouri back within one, but the Tigers were unable to complete the comeback.
