In the retail theft incident, an employee at Fresh Tobacco & Vape reported seeing a customer take two items from the store. When approached, the customer denied stealing and fled the scene in a silver pickup truck. Video footage showed the customer stealing two packs of 100 mg STAX. The employee said the same customer had also stolen from the store in early February. A resident on Northcott Avenue reported that a man in a black SUV stole a blue single-speed children's bike with a brown seat from their home around 5:50 p.m. on March 2. A car was also stolen from a home on Hathaway Lane and later recovered in Chicago, where it had been involved in a crash.
