CompTIA, a leading provider of IT training and certifications, has introduced a new professional certification called CompTIA SecAI+. The certification is designed to address the growing need for skilled professionals who can both defend against and leverage AI technologies in modern cybersecurity environments. CompTIA SecAI+ covers best practices, processes, systems and tools to ensure AI platforms and functionality are secure, as well as how AI can be used to improve and automate critical security and compliance procedures.
Why it matters
As AI becomes more integrated into core business processes, the ability to secure AI systems and manage AI-related risks has become a critical capability for modern cybersecurity professionals. CompTIA SecAI+ aims to validate the skills needed to work in environments where AI systems and AI-enabled tools are present.
The details
CompTIA SecAI+ was developed by over 400 industry subject matter experts from around the world. It is vendor-neutral and applies across cloud providers, AI platforms, development frameworks and deployment environments. The certification complements existing cybersecurity certifications like CompTIA Security+, CySA+ and PenTest+, allowing professionals to showcase their advanced AI security skills.
- CompTIA SecAI+ was introduced on February 17, 2026.
