The No. 1 Pima Aztecs men's basketball team advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament with a perfect 32-0 record after defeating No. 3 Scottsdale 74-49 in the NJCAA Region and District championship game. Pima sprinted out to a 20-2 lead and never looked back, earning their spot in the national tournament which will be held March 16-21 in Danville, Illinois.

Pima shot 7-29 from three-point range but still managed to build a 20-2 lead early and led 37-19 at halftime. The Aztecs pulled away in the second half, leading by as much as 55-28 at one point. Tournament MVP Mason Hunt scored 19 points for Pima, while Isaiah Hill added 16 and Isaac Johnson had 14. Scottsdale was led by Davion Harris with 10 points and Coleman Fields with 9.
