Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, a non-profit organization that provides all-expenses-paid trips for veterans to visit memorials in Washington, D.C., will be taking Mission #77 on May 5, 2025. The flight will serve 95 veterans - 5 Korean War and 90 Vietnam War era veterans - from 54 Illinois hometowns, as well as some from Colorado, California, and Florida. The veterans and their guardians will visit the World War II, Korean, and Vietnam War memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, and other sites before returning to Springfield, Illinois that evening.

On May 5, 2025, the 95 veterans and their guardians will depart from the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, Illinois at 4:00 AM on a chartered Sun Country 737 aircraft. They will visit the World War II, Korean, and Vietnam War memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, the National Air & Space Museum, the US Marine Corps Memorial, and the US Air Force Memorial. The veterans will return to the Springfield airport at 9:30 PM that evening, where the public is encouraged to welcome them home.
