The family of a 24-year-old woman shot and killed in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood last year is demanding justice in her unsolved murder. Community members with Cook County Crime Stoppers are going door-to-door in the area, passing out flyers and hoping to drum up new leads in the case of Itzel Gomez, who was shot in the back of the head while being dropped off at home from work.
Why it matters

The details
On December 19th of last year, Gomez was being dropped off at home from work by a co-worker when someone fired shots at their car near 23rd Place and Rockwell. Gomez was struck in the back of the head and died three days later at the hospital.
