Carbondale Scout Leader to Receive Prestigious Silver Beaver Award

A longtime Carbondale scouting leader, Brian Gorecki of Troop 7066, will receive the Silver Beaver Award from the Greater St. Louis Area Council, one of the organization's highest honors given to adult leaders for distinguished service to youth. Gorecki has been involved in scouting for more than 17 years and has held multiple leadership roles at the troop and district levels.

The details

Gorecki currently serves as the committee chair for Troop 7066 and has remained active in weekly meetings, camping trips, and service projects over the years. He has also contributed at the district level, serving as the Big Muddy Scouting for Food chair, participating on the Eagle Board of Review, and working as a member-at-large on the district committee.
