The details
Marguerite Mariama is a retired professor from the City University of New York system, where she created the OurStories in the Music® workshops that employ the arts as a tool for bridging divides and healing trauma. She is also a clinically trained dance movement therapist, an international jazz and blues recording artist, and an award-winning voiceover artist. As a former Arts Envoy with the U.S. State Department, Mariama wrote, produced, curated, and performed programs that told the American story through the lens of African American musical culture.
