Readers are invited to vote for the best boys high school basketball player in the Treasure Valley for the week of February 2-8. Nominations were submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman, and include standout performances from players across the region.

The details

The candidates for boys basketball player of the week include Tyler Harris of Mountain View, Bridger Barrus of Kuna, Collin Morris of Timberline, Will Gebert of Boise, Henry Johnson of Centennial, Conor Goss of Bishop Kelly, Noah Mitchell of Vallivue, Nathan Compas of Parma, Logan Ellis of North Star Charter, and Dehaven Wilson of Notus. Their accomplishments range from triple-doubles to high-scoring games and double-doubles.

A player for Mountain View High School who recorded a triple-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a 94-67 win.

Bridger Barrus

A player for Kuna High School who averaged 19 points, seven rebounds and 4.5 steals while shooting a combined 17-for-22 from the floor in wins over Eagle and Meridian.

Collin Morris

A player for Timberline High School who drained 5-of-7 3-pointers and 10-of-15 field goals for a game-high 25 points in a 56-42 win over Boise.

Will Gebert

A player for Boise High School who racked up 31 points, 11 rebounds and four steals in an 85-73 win over Capital.

Henry Johnson

A player for Centennial High School who recorded a double-double of 12 points and 16 rebounds in a 59-53 win over Mountain View.
