Idaho Medical Cannabis Act Nears Ballot Qualification

The Natural Medicine Alliance of Idaho has announced that it has collected more than 45,000 signatures in support of placing the Idaho Medical Cannabis Act on the November 2026 general election ballot. The proposed measure would allow physician-guided access to medical cannabis for patients with certain serious medical conditions.

The measure must also meet the same 6% threshold in at least 18 of Idaho's 35 legislative districts. All signatures must be submitted by April 30. The proposed Idaho Medical Cannabis Act would allow physician-guided access to medical cannabis for patients with certain serious medical conditions, including chronic pain, cancer and post-traumatic stress disorder.
