The Washington County 4-H County Council is sponsoring an Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association (IJBBA) sanctioned open cattle show at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The show includes two show rings, two judges and prize money. Exhibitors have a chance to be a part of two shows, both are open to youth up to those 21-years of age. Along with the cattle show, Washington County 4-H will be hosting their Pancakes and More fundraiser breakfast.

Why it matters

The open cattle show provides an opportunity for youth to compete against those from other counties, work more with their cattle, and gain valuable experience. The 4-H fundraiser breakfast will help the council rebuild the county fair champion boards and add an additional board to accommodate all of the 4-H classes.

The IJBBA sanctioned open cattle show will take place on Saturday, April 18th at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
