What they’re saying
“Tough road game tonight. I thought we struggled offensively in the first half. In the second half we moved the ball, shared the ball, and made shots. I wish we could have done that more consistently. Our defense gave us a chance tonight. We gave up too many offensive rebounds but we gave ourselves a chance late. I really like our fight. We got it to a four minute game. They made plays down the stretch and we didn't. We had good production off the bench from Dylan and Alec. Cole Petersen affects the game defensively as well.”
— Tyler Erwin, Head Coach
What’s next
Midland will travel to Sioux Center, Iowa, to face Dordt University in another GPAC matchup on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
The takeaway
This loss highlights the challenges Midland faces on the road in the highly competitive GPAC conference. The Warriors showed fight in the second half, but ultimately couldn't overcome Mount Marty's free throw advantage and second-chance opportunities. Midland will need to regroup and focus on their next conference game against Dordt as they look to improve their conference standing.
