Pella Christian Schools Appoints Two New Principals

Pella Christian Schools has announced the appointment of two new principals for the 2026–2027 school year. Steven Overbergen will serve as Principal for Early Education through 4th Grade, while Renae Sloan has been named Principal for 5th through 8th Grade. Both will officially begin their roles on July 1.

The details

Steven Overbergen is a graduate of Central College with a degree in Elementary Education and a master's in School Leadership from Dordt University. He currently serves as a K–5 Instructional Coach at Mitchellville Elementary in the Southeast Polk Community School District. Renae Sloan is a Pella Christian alumna who earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education from Trinity Christian College and a master's in Music Education from Central Washington University. She has worked in Christian education across Washington state since 2010, most recently as Assistant High School Principal at Lynden Christian School.
