Pella Christian Track Teams Kick Off Spring Season at IATC Indoor Championships

The Pella Christian boys and girls track and field teams will open their spring seasons today at the IATC Indoor Championships in Ames. The girls team is the defending Class 2A state champions, while the boys are coming off a third-place finish at last year's state qualifying meet and will look to send more qualifiers to the state meet.

Pella Christian is sending 15 runners to compete across 13 events at the IATC Indoor Championships, including several key returners from last year's state-qualifying teams. The girls will be led by sprinters Lexi Terpstra, Rachel Kacmarynski, and Meredith Van Wyk, as well as distance runners Keilah Schiebout and Hayley Rens. On the boys side, Adam Kacmarynski and Landon Nunnikhoven will compete in the 60m dash, while Dean De Ronde and Sawyer Meinders will run the 1600m.
