Representing Des Moines Lincoln, Norwalk seniors Keegan Kraft and Brayden Plourde competed in three individual preliminary races at Friday's Iowa Boys State Swimming Championships. Kraft had a personal-best time in the 200-yard IM and also competed in the 100-yard backstroke, while Plourde raced in the 100-yard freestyle.

Kraft competed in two events, highlighted by a 21st-place finish in the 200-yard IM with a personal-best time of 2:03.41. He also placed 31st in the 100-yard backstroke. Plourde finished 31st in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.14 seconds. Both swimmers will team up with Norwalk sophomore Daxton Hughes and Blake Bennett in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays on Saturday.
