Furever Haven Rescue Inc., a non-profit animal rescue organization in Shelby County, Iowa, is seeking donations to purchase a permanent facility in Denison. The rescue, formerly known as ARL of Harlan, was created in 2020 by Vicki Kuhn of Manilla to address an increase in stray dogs in the Harlan area. Currently, Kuhn relies on a network of 10 foster homes, but the demand for the rescue's services remains high. A physical building in Denison would allow Furever Haven to rescue more dogs and facilitate more adoptions.

The organization is accepting donations through Templeton Savings Bank in Manning, by mail to P.O. Box 313 in Manilla, or online via PayPal using a QR code. Kuhn says the physical location would allow Furever Haven to take in more dogs daily and increase adoption opportunities.
