A 49-year-old North Liberty woman was arrested last week after police say she spit on an officer's face during a welfare check at her home. According to court records, Maria Flores Leal invited the officers inside, then became upset and allegedly attempted to throw a ceramic pot at them before spitting on one of the officers.
