What they’re saying

“We knew it was going to be difficult. Credit to (Northeast), they came out and attacked us. In the first half as a whole, we did enough to hang around. You saw us get a little more aggressive during the night, especially on the offensive end. They were letting us play a little bit so we had to turn things up. The message was that we have to go through contact. Play with toughness, physicality, relentless effort and respond to adversity. A lot of teams would have given in. These guys responded. They did that all season. Anytime a challenge was thrown at us, they stepped up. I'm proud of their effort with that.”
