A 36-year-old Iowa City man, Zarkee Hall, was taken into custody after he allegedly tried to run from officers who were arresting him on an outstanding warrant. Hall was found to be in possession of methamphetamine when he was being booked into the Johnson County Jail.

According to reports, officers came into contact with Hall on the sidewalk outside his North Linn Street residence on Monday afternoon and notified him of the outstanding warrant. Officers were able to effectively use a taser to subdue Hall and take him into custody.
