AP Girls Golf, Soccer Teams Kick Off Seasons

The Aplington-Parkersburg girls golf team will begin its season on Monday, marking the team's first competition as its own program after sharing with Dike-New Hartford last season. They'll travel to La Porte City Golf Club for a quad meet. The #15 (1A) Falcon girls soccer team will also start its season by hosting a ranked matchup against #3 (1A) Hudson, with top scorers Kiara Morris and Adri Allan returning.

The details

The Aplington-Parkersburg girls golf team, led by first-year Head Coach Klay Hoppenworth, will face off against Union, Don Bosco, and Waverly-Shell Rock at the quad meet. The girls soccer team, ranked #15 in Class 1A, returns most of its starters from last season and will host a tough matchup against #3 Hudson. The AP/DNH boys soccer team will also be in action, playing on the road against Hudson.
