Golden Hawk Archery Sends Record 61 to State

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk Archery club has qualified a record 61 archers for the upcoming Iowa State Block and 3D Championship meets, breaking last year's previous high of 60 competitors. The team is sending a mix of high school, middle school, and elementary school students to compete in both the block and 3D events at the state championships later this month.

The details

Based on their performance in regular season tournaments, the Golden Hawks will be sending 18 high school archers to compete in both the block and 3D events, as well as 27 middle school and elementary students. An additional 13 competitors qualified for the block event only, and 3 qualified for the 3D contest only. The state championships will be held March 27-29 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.
