The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn (ADM) Boys Soccer Team is gearing up for the 2025-26 season, which begins at the end of the month. A year ago, the Tigers concluded the season 10-7 and fourth in the Raccoon River Conference. This season, the team's goal is to qualify for the state tournament, something they've been close to achieving in recent years.
Why it matters
High school sports, especially in smaller communities, are a source of pride and community engagement. The ADM Tigers' quest to reach the state tournament for the first time in several years will be closely watched by their hometown fans.
The details
The Tigers will be led by now-senior Cael Orban, who led the team with 20 goals last season, and now-senior Mohammad Hajeh, who had 13 goals. The team is confident they can make a run at the state tournament this year, having not lost many key players from last season's 10-7 squad.
- The Tigers will participate in a scrimmage versus Des Moines East on March 27th.
- The Tigers will open the regular season on March 30th in Perry, taking on the Bluejays.

What they’re saying
“The last three years, we've done pretty well across the board and haven't reached that yet. So, I think that we're in a good position this year of not losing a whole lot of guys last year. I think it's just always the goal (to) go to state (and) I mean compete for the championship, but really I think this year I think that it's reasonable, and it's something that we've definitely been looking for, but I think everybody seems to be bought in.”

What’s next
The judge in the case will decide on Tuesday whether or not to allow Walker Reed Quinn out on bail.
The takeaway
This case highlights growing concerns in the community about repeat offenders released on bail, raising questions about bail reform, public safety on SF streets, and if any special laws to govern autonomous vehicles in residential and commercial areas.
