Each recipient received a $1,000 scholarship to the college of their choice, selected based on their academic performance, athletic participation, leadership skills, and community involvement.

One student from each of the five high school classes (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A) received the 2026 IBA Student Athlete Achievement Award during the Iowa High School Girls' State Basketball Tournament championships on March 6-7 in Des Moines. The scholarship recipients were: Sacha Alesch of Bishop Garrigan High School (Class 1A), Karlyn Kovarna of Hinton Community School (Class 2A), Zoe Allen of Williamsburg Jr-Sr High School (Class 3A), Ella Smith of Carlisle High School (Class 4A), and Allison Hawkins of Ankeny High School (Class 5A).
