Central Track & Field Teams Earn Four American Rivers Conference Weekly Honors

Three Central athletes recognized for standout performances at recent indoor meets

The Central College men's and women's track & field teams had three athletes recognized with four weekly awards from the American Rivers Conference for their performances in both the Wartburg Indoor Select and the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational meets.

Senior Olivia Bohlen won both Female Athlete of the Week and Women's Field Performer of the Week after setting a new school record in the women's pentathlon at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational. Ava Parkins was named Women's Track Performer of the Week for her wins in the 400-meter dash and as part of the record-setting 4x400m relay team at the Wartburg Indoor Select. Kale Purcell earned Men's Field Performer of the Week for his school record-breaking performance in the triple jump at the Wartburg meet.
