Bedford Track Meet Sees Standout Performances
Knights Alley and Nuckolls Shine for Fremont Mills

The Bedford Early Bird Co-Ed track meet saw the home team Bedford win the boys competition, while Fremont Mills took the girls title. Standout performances came from Lana Alley and Carlie Nuckolls of Fremont Mills, who each won four events.

In the boys competition, Bedford won with 150 points, followed by Griswold (85) and Nodaway Valley (66). On the girls side, Fremont Mills dominated with 150 points, with Griswold (85) and Nodaway Valley (66) rounding out the top three. Lana Alley and Carlie Nuckolls of Fremont Mills were the stars of the meet, each winning four individual events.

Lana Alley
A standout athlete for Fremont Mills, Alley won the 100 Hurdles and 200-meter dash, setting a personal record in the 200.
Carlie Nuckolls
Nuckolls, also of Fremont Mills, won the 400 Hurdles and was part of the 4x100 and Shuttle Hurdle relay teams.
Carsyn Adams
A Griswold athlete, Adams won the 400-meter dash and finished second in the 100 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles, and anchored the Shuttle Hurdle relay team.
Ella Gade
Gade of Griswold won the discus event with a best throw of 108 feet.
Gabe Winkelmann
Winkelmann of Nodaway Valley was a double winner in the 800 and 3200-meter runs, and also helped the Wolverines win the 4x800 relay.
