The Western Iowa Conference has announced its 2025-26 all-conference basketball teams, honoring the top players from the girls and boys varsity squads. Sydney Somers of Riverside was named the Girls Player of the Year, while Ben Ramsey of IKM Manning earned the Boys Player of the Year award.

On the girls' side, Somers was a unanimous first-team selection after leading the conference in several statistical categories, including scoring, rebounding, and blocks. Addison Carroll of AHSTW, Nora Konz and Addison Mauer of Treynor, and Anna Stangl and Keagan Eischeid of IKM Manning rounded out the first team. For the boys, Ramsey and AJ Harder of Tri Center were unanimous first-team picks. Alec Lovely of Treynor, Garrett Luett of Underwood, Tyler Baatz of Tri Center, and Layton Maasen of Missouri Valley also made the first team.

A junior at Riverside High School, Somers was named the Girls Player of the Year after finishing fourth in the conference in scoring and rebounding, and second in blocks.
Ben Ramsey
A senior at IKM Manning High School, Ramsey was selected as the Boys Player of the Year after ranking second in the conference in scoring and fifth in assists.
AJ Harder
A junior at Tri Center High School, Harder was a unanimous first-team selection after leading the conference in scoring, assists, steals, and field goals made.
Alec Lovely
A senior at Treynor High School, Lovely was a unanimous first-team pick after finishing fifth in the conference in scoring and leading in three-pointers made.
Garrett Luett
A senior at Underwood High School, Luett led the conference in rebounding and was fourth in scoring.
