UH Men's Volleyball Adds BYU to Schedule

Third-ranked Hawaii to host No. 8 Brigham Young for two matches in February

Published on Feb. 7, 2026

The University of Hawaii men's volleyball team will host No. 8 Brigham Young University for two matches on February 25 and 27 at the Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The matches were added to the schedule after the cancellation of the NIL Tournament, which Hawaii was originally scheduled to participate in.

Why it matters

This last-minute schedule addition provides an opportunity for the third-ranked Hawaii team to face off against a top-10 opponent in BYU, giving them valuable experience and exposure ahead of the postseason. The matches will also help raise funds for the men's volleyball program's NIL efforts.

The details

Hawaii was originally scheduled to play No. 1 UCLA and either No. 2 Long Beach State or No. 4 Southern California at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on February 19 and 20. However, the NIL Tournament was canceled last week, leading to the addition of the BYU matches. Both matches will start at 7 p.m. and tickets will go on sale to the general public starting Monday, with current season ticket holders having first priority.
