Nine medals won by SRTC students at the 2026 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference

Career and technical education students from Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) recently competed at the 2026 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference, bringing home nine medals. SRTC sent 38 students to compete at this year's conference, marking a strong showing for the college.

Around 10,000 student competitors, advisors, instructors, and industry professionals attended the conference and its skills competitions, held in Atlanta, February 19 -21, at the Georgia World Congress Center. The annual event hosts 155 different hands-on technical trade, occupational-related, and leadership contests for students to earn the right to compete at the national conference held in June. Several SRTC students won top awards in their competitions, including gold medals in Promotional Bulletin Board, Electrical Construction Wiring, Industrial Motor Control, Technical Drafting, and Medical Math.
