Pitt football held a press conference on Wednesday to introduce its three new quarterbacks for the 2026 season - freshmen Corey Dailey and Angelo Renda, as well as transfer Holden Geriner. The players spoke about their early experiences since enrolling at Pitt in January and the process of transitioning to the program.
Why it matters
Quarterback is a critical position for any college football team, and Pitt is looking to reload after the departure of its previous starting QB. The new trio will compete for the starting job and aim to lead the Panthers to success in the upcoming season.
The details
Corey Dailey is a 6-foot-6, 195-pound freshman from Seguin, Texas, while Angelo Renda is a 6-foot, 180-pound freshman from Southlake Carroll High School, also in Texas. Holden Geriner joins Pitt as a transfer from Texas State, where he spent the 2025 season. Prior to that, Geriner was at Auburn for three seasons.
