The Atlanta Falcons have signed free agent quarterback Trevor Siemian, who has over 30 career NFL starts and 11 seasons of experience. Siemian will join a Falcons QB room that also includes Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa as the team continues to build depth at the position.
Why it matters
With the Falcons looking to build on a promising 2025 season, adding a veteran like Siemian provides valuable experience and competition in the QB room. Siemian's prior work with Falcons offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski also gives him familiarity with the system.
The details
Siemian was originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 7th round in 2015 and started 24 games for them over the 2016 and 2017 seasons. He has also spent time with the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, and several other teams. In his most recent starting stint with the Jets in 2023, Siemian went 2-1 as the starter.
- The Falcons signed Siemian as a free agent on March 26, 2026.
