Why it matters
The individual accolades for the Kennesaw State players highlight the program's continued growth and success, with the team recording the third-most wins in school history and reaching double-digit conference victories for the second straight year.
The details
Johnson led the conference in several statistical categories since taking over as the starting point guard in mid-January, including scoring, assists, assist-to-turnover ratio, and three-pointers made. Lue was a defensive anchor in the post, ranking second in the league in blocks per game. Simpson made an immediate impact as a freshman, averaging over 8 points per game in conference play and finishing third in CUSA in blocks per game.
- The conference honors were announced on Monday, March 9, 2026.
- Kennesaw State will be the No. 6 seed in this week's CUSA Tournament, opening against Western Kentucky on Thursday, March 12.

Elijah Lue
A forward from Douglasville, Georgia who has helped the Owls post the second-best field goal defense in the conference, ranking second in CUSA in blocks per game.
Jaylen Simpson
A first-year forward from Evergreen, Alabama who has been a huge addition for the Owls on both the offensive and defensive end, ranking third in CUSA in blocks per game during conference play.
What’s next
