The man told deputies that an unknown individual, later identified as Dean Smith, attacked him, attempted to choke him, and tried to run him over with a white SUV. Behind the barber shop, deputies noticed a metal door that appeared to have been struck by a large object and was jammed inward, with damaged bushes and visible tire tracks leading toward the door. A large amount of blood was found on the ground, wall, and bushes, and two pieces of what appeared to be scalp with hair attached were located within the blood.
