Inovaxe's innovative InoHD™ smart storage system aims to revolutionize material handling in electronics manufacturing with its space-saving, high-density design and advanced automation features.Atlanta TodayInovaxe, a leading provider of material handling and inventory control systems, announced its participation in three upcoming SMTA regional events in April 2026, where the company will highlight its newly introduced InoHD™ ultra-high-density smart storage system. InoHD™ is designed to address the persistent challenge of space in electronics manufacturing by combining servo-driven mobile shelving with smart sensing and pick-to-light technology, enabling manufacturers to store up to 310 SMT reels per square foot while maintaining fast, guided access and real-time inventory verification.
Why it matters
The InoHD™ system represents a significant advancement in how manufacturers approach storage and material flow, allowing them to dramatically reduce required floor space compared to traditional stockroom layouts. By eliminating the need for aisles and enabling direct access to materials at the point of use, InoHD™ can help electronics manufacturers improve workflow efficiency, reduce labor, and optimize production.
The details
The InoHD™ system can store more than 10,560 SMT reels within a compact 4 ft × 8 ft footprint, significantly reducing the required floor space compared to traditional storage towers. Unlike conventional solutions, InoHD™ allows operators to access materials directly at the point of use, with built-in verification that helps eliminate picking errors. The system combines servo-driven mobile shelving with Inovaxe's smart sensing and pick-to-light technology to enable this high-density storage and efficient material handling.
- Inovaxe will be showcasing InoHD™ at the SMTA Dallas event on April 7, 2026.
- Inovaxe will also present InoHD™ at the SMTA Arizona event on April 21, 2026.
- The final SMTA event featuring InoHD™ will be in Atlanta on April 30, 2026.
