Formed in 2016, Kin. The Band released their debut project 'KIN Copaset' in 2019 and gained national exposure with a performance at the APAP conference in New York before the pandemic. In 2025, the band resurged after receiving a Jazz Roads grant from South Arts, touring the Southeast and reaching both rural communities and landmark cities. Comprised of Charles LaMont Garner (drums & vocals), Rafael Pereira (percussion & loops), and Nick Rosen (keys & key bass), the trio brings global touring experience and a collaborative spirit honed alongside artists like Janelle Monáe, India.Arie, Justin Timberlake, and P.J. Morton. Their forthcoming album 'Cosmic Dreams' draws on the warmth and imagination of '80s-era sounds while pushing forward with heartfelt melodies and expansive, genre-blurring creativity.
