After a dry end to March, the rain chances return to start off April. Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Ashley Kramlich says isolated showers and a few storms are possible on Wednesday, while Thursday will turn dry. However, rain chances will go up as the region heads through Easter weekend, with a few scattered showers and storms possible Friday and Saturday, and widespread rain expected Easter Sunday as a cold front moves through.

Why it matters

The rainfall totals won't add up to much, but any rain is needed with the ongoing drought conditions. Parts of metro Atlanta are in a severe drought while several counties north and east of Atlanta are in an extreme drought.
