Two University of Georgia football players, outside linebacker Darren Ikinnagbon and inside linebacker Christopher Cole, were arrested late Wednesday on driving-related charges, including reckless driving and speeding, according to Athens-Clarke County Jail records. The players were released on bond shortly after the arrest.
Why it matters
This is not the first time UGA's football program has faced off-field issues related to driving offenses. These latest charges raise ongoing concerns about player behavior and discipline within the program.
The details
Ikinnagbon, a freshman, was charged with reckless driving, driving too closely, and speeding. Cole, a sophomore, was charged with reckless driving and speeding. Both players were released on bond shortly after the arrest.
