No. 6 Cal Men's Swimming & Diving Ready for ACC Championships

Golden Bears look to defend 2025 ACC title at conference meet in Atlanta

Published on Feb. 17, 2026

The No. 6 California men's swimming & diving team is set to compete in its second-ever ACC Championships this week at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, GA. The Golden Bears will look to defend last year's ACC Championship title in what is arguably the toughest conference in the nation, with eight ACC teams ranked in the latest CSCAA Division I Men's Top 25 Poll.

Why it matters

The Bears are looking to build on their success from last season, when they won their first-ever ACC title in their inaugural year in the conference. Cal has been a dominant force in men's swimming & diving, finishing either first or second nationally in 15 consecutive seasons and winning six national titles during that span.

The details

The Bears feature several swimmers with top-10 national times this season, including sophomore Yamato Okadome in the 100-yard breaststroke (No. 3) and 200 breaststroke (No. 4), as well as strong performances from other individuals and relay teams. Cal has also seen several swimmers make their mark on the program's all-time record book this year.

  • The ACC Championships will take place from February 17-21 in Atlanta, GA.
  • The preliminary sessions will begin each morning at 10:45 AM PT, with the finals sessions starting in the early afternoon.
