The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center is hosting a new visual arts exhibition titled 'Color Resonance: Gary Hudson in Full Hue', featuring large color works by the late artist Gary Hudson. The exhibit is a companion to the successful 'Emergence - In Black and White' and will be on display from February 6 to March 27. Hudson was an internationally acclaimed 'Lyrical Abstractionist' who led an interesting life, including being part of the California Beat Movement, associating with Andy Warhol, and meeting Joan Baez and Bob Dylan.

The 'Color Resonance: Gary Hudson in Full Hue' exhibit will be displayed in Gallery 3 at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. Hudson became a paraplegic at age 20 after a vehicle accident while serving in the U.S. Marines, but his art career began soon after and included travels to California, France, and New York, where he earned an MFA from the Yale School of Art and Architecture in 1966. Hudson's work is currently on display at prestigious institutions like the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the Georgia Museum of Art.
