Diverse Logistics and Pulse Final Mile, two leading providers of final-mile delivery and installation services for big and bulky items, have announced a successful merger. The combined company will create one of the largest independent logistics platforms in the big and bulky final-mile segment, with a network of over 850 third-party carrier teams operating from 111 customer distribution centers, as well as 15 of its own warehousing and cross-docking facilities.
Why it matters
The merger allows the combined company to expand its geographic reach, enhance its service capabilities, and better serve retailers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the big and bulky final-mile logistics market. As consumer demand for large household items like appliances, furniture, and electronics continues to grow, this scaled logistics platform will be well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of customers.
The details
The merger brings together Diverse Logistics, founded in 1998 and based in Tampa, Florida, and Pulse Final Mile, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Anaheim, California. Both companies are non-asset-based brokers of white-glove delivery and installation services, focused on the big and bulky final-mile logistics market. The combined platform will leverage its expanded network and resources to offer enhanced solutions for the delivery of a wide range of large household goods.
