Florida State baseball's Trey Beard has been named USA Baseball's Golden Spikes Award x D1 Baseball Week 5 Player of the Week. Beard, a transfer from FAU, tallied a career-high 14 strikeouts in 6.2 shutout innings to help the Seminoles sweep top-25 opponent Wake Forest on the road. He was also named the ACC Pitcher of the Week for his dominant outing.
