Police traced the suitcase back to 19-year-old Lucas Jones, who lived in the nearby town of Indialantic. When police searched Jones' home, he had visible injuries and refused to be interviewed, but his girlfriend told police that on March 20th she saw Jones trying to wake up a man named Colie Lee Daniel, who then disappeared. Daniel's mother reported him missing on March 22nd.
