Orlando Gifted Academy Remodel Meeting Scheduled for April 14

The $56.2 million makeover of the 1121 N. Fern Creek Ave. campus is now 60% complete.

The remodel of the OCPS Orlando Gifted Academy, which serves intellectually gifted students in grades two through eight, is now 60% complete. A 60% Design Community Meeting will be held on April 14 at the academy's temporary home on the Orange Technical College Winter Park campus to provide an update on the $56.2 million project.

The remodel includes a new multistory 100,000-square-foot building at the 1121 N. Fern Creek Ave. campus, which was previously the site of Fern Creek Elementary School. The project began nearly one year ago and is now 60% complete.
