According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the victim had been involved in a fight with another individual in front of a home on North Market Street. A short time later, while the victim was sitting in his vehicle, a black car approached and a man exited and began shooting at him, grazing the victim's head with a bullet before fleeing the scene.

The suspect then went back inside his vehicle and fled the area.
