Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida is set to host the inaugural Coastal Corgi Classic on March 14th, where Corgis will compete in a series of short sprint races on the dirt track. The event will feature qualifying heats, a championship race, and prizes for the top finishers, as well as swag bags for all entrants. The event is open only to registered Corgis and will follow strict safety and animal welfare guidelines.

The details

The Coastal Corgi Classic will feature 4 qualifying heats, with the top 3 finishers of each heat advancing to the Championship race. Medals and trophies will be awarded to the top 3 winners, and all entrants will receive swag bags including dog bowls, tennis balls, and more. Owners or handlers are required to submit AKC registration, vaccination records, and other required paperwork upon check-in. All dogs must be on leashes before and after their races, and owners must follow Gulfstream Park staff instructions at all times.
