A former University of Florida wide receiver standout, Frankie Hammond Jr., will be joining the coaching staff of the F.W. Buchholz High School football team in Gainesville, Florida, as a wide receivers coach for the upcoming 2026 season. Hammond played for the Gators from 2008 to 2012 and later spent a few years in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets.

He also competed in track and field as a high jumper for the Gators. After his time at Florida, Hammond spent a few years in the NFL with the Chiefs and Jets, where he totaled 4 catches for 45 yards and 389 return yards.
